Hi readers, my name is Marion Grace Woolley. I’m also known as Writer in Rwanda, which is where I live.
As you can tell from the books I write, I enjoy dark things: myths, legends and forgotten stories that hide in secret spaces.
I work as an international development consultant by day and piano tuner by night. My harshest critics are my rescue cats, mostly named after Ghibli characters (Howl, Sophie, Sen... and Jazz). In the words of their great idol, Cheshire, we’re all a bit mad here.
Over the years, I have been published by Ghostwoods Books, Green Sunset Books, and Netherworld Books. In 2009 I was shortlisted for the Luke Bitmead Bursary for New Writers and I have won several short story competitions including the Bet Tuppi Near Eastern Historical Fiction Prize in 2021.
I am interested in collaborating on projects in the dark fantasy and historical fiction genres.
